Saved 'em up just for you, Alba!
Really appreciate your ministry here Dan, beautiful work, every one. Thank you!
Thanks, Leon. It was lots o’ fun finding them.
I was able to put out our nativity this year, for the first time in many. We lost both cats this past year. One made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge, and the other snuck out the front door when I was getting the mail one day. The nativity wasn’t safe with them around, so I couldn’t set it out. I’m glad I could set it out, but I do miss them.
Maybe you can find some small cat figurines and add them to the nativity scene,
I have 13 cats. . . only 2 for 14 years (Big Bro and Lil Sis. . .their mother made the scene with them and disappeared). . .and then this past year a calico cat made the scene . . .two litters within less than a year. Big Bro and Lil Sis are indoor/outdoor but the others are outdoor only but have a home in the unheated garage . . . and a barn if they so choose. They are fed quite well and look very healthy . . .I find them fun to watch. . . by the way all are fixed. . .unfortunately, you can’t claim that as tax deduction.
Even so, I still love you..............
Wow. There’s something about sculpture and stained glass that surpasses painting. They just hit harder. I don’t even care about how Jesus is clothed, since stained glass is obviously simplified and symbolic.
Thank you again, Dan.
Oops. I forgot to mention the tapestries. That might be the most difficult media of all in which to work.
Another thought I had, seeing the depictions of the cows in the manger scenes: Jesus is still around “cows” for one of the seraphim (Rev. 4) and all four of the cherubim (Ezekiel 1) have a head of a bull.
Clearly, the evidence compels us to believe that Jesus, who invented and then created cows, likes them.
